Why Buy Pixels
The basic idea was conceived in the UK in August 2005 by a University student.
The concept is that businesses purchase pixels and then via the web, the companies simultaneously become "visible" to clients, customers, partners and competitors. This nexus and synergy drives business and internet traffic to the sellers’ sites. It also establishes "credibility and relevance" in the eyes of possible clients. The concept has a dramatic recent proven track record, as some of the links below demonstrate.
- The concept is proven and was described in the WSJ in 2005.
- The first pixel website was the MillionDollarHomePage. The success of the concept can be found by perusing the blog on this site.
- Pixel Navigator is seeding a trend in how large corporations with impacted land and their service suppliers interact, whether they be technical or legal. The trend phenomenon, and how ideas diffuse and spread, is described in an article by Malcom Gladwell of Tipping Point fame.
